PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate irregularities in an image due to the unevenness of the coated developer quantity by preventing one-component developer near a developer carrier from being compressed and uniformly applying the developer on the developer carrier, even in the case a developing device is arranged facing downward to the image carrier. SOLUTION: The developing device 6K arranged facing downward to the photoreceptor drum 1, stores black magnetic toner as the developer in a developing container 20, has a developing sleeve 25 arranged at the lower end of the container 20. A half circular arc-shaped supporting member 26 is arranged nearly above the developing sleeve, and the weight pressure of the toner lying on the supporting member 26 is supported by the member 26, then, the toner weight pressure on the developing sleeve is reduced, thereby the toner near the developing sleeve is prevented from being compressed. |
