PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information distribution system which is effectively utilized as a system, and then has a improved usage rate of the system. SOLUTION: The information distribution system consists of a transmitting station provided with a transmission means for transmitting a control-added picture signal in which a control signal including at least discrimination information on distribution destination for specifying distribution destination is added ahead of a picture signal including predetermined information, and of two or more receiving stations provided with receiving means for receiving and controlling the control-added picture signals, and image display means, and the picture signal including the predetermined information addressed to the own station on the basis of discrimination information on the distribution destination included in the control-added picture signal received by the receiving station is displayed as a still picture at the image display means. In this information distribution system, the receiving stations are the stores of a company who controls the chain stores, and information other than information on commodities related to the company is included in the above picture signal.
