PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion monitor with a simple structure capable of measuring an ion level in a sample liquid at a low price. SOLUTION: In this ion monitor, a cell 10 partitioned by two ion exchange membranes 11, 12 is provided between a set of a negative electrode 20 and a positive electrode 30, and the inside of the cell 10 is filled with an ion exchange resin 13. The two ion exchange membranes 11, 12 are respectively disposed with lead wires 14, and the lead wires 14 are connected to a potentiometer 15. Because electric potential between the ion exchange membranes 11, 12 rises in the case that a bivalent ion such as a calcium ion is leaked into the sample solution as compared with the case of the presence of an univalent ion such as a sodium ion in the sample solution, the leakage of the bivalent ion into the sample solution can be detected by monitoring the potential between the membranes 11, 12. |
