The invention mainly concerns a reaction device for a pneumatic brake booster with adjustable power-assist and a brake booster comprising same. The inventive reaction device comprises a housing wherein is arranged a reaction disc (33) made of incompressible or substantially incompressible materials delimited: d) at one first longitudinal end by a first surface; e) at a second end opposite to the first end, by a radially outer second surface pressing the pneumatic piston and a third surface pressing the plunger delimited by the second surface; f) by a fourth radial surface extending from the first surface to the second and third surfaces. The reaction device further comprises at least a deformable elastic means, and means for prestressing (45) the elastic means, the elastic means enabling for a specific input force value greater than a specific fixed value, an increase of the volume available for the reaction disc (33) being achieved in an assembly of the first and second surfaces. The invention is particularly applicable in the automotive industry and mainly to brake manufacturing.
