The invention relates to a hard suitcase (1) incorporating a device for the volumetric reduction of the casing thereof, activated by extracting the air distributed in the contents of said suitcase. In traditional suitcases, a large quantity of air remains trapped among the contents when the case is filled. The functional principle of the device consists in removing the air distributed among the objects placed in the suitcase (1) by means of a simple vacuum cleaner. The internal vacuum created in this way causes a section (4) of the casing to retract, thereby reducing the thickness of the suitcase. At the same time, the automatic (16) blocking mechanism gradually locks the volumetric configuration of the suitcase. According to the invention, the device can be adapted to the different containers used to transport materials, objects and goods which contain a significant quantity of air. |
