PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To brake a DC motor having a large holding force. SOLUTION: Each time the DC motor 2 is rotated at a predetermined angle, Hall elements 12a to 12c generate pulse signals. When a control circuit 10 decides that the speed of the motor 2 has decelerated from a predetermined speed, based on the pulse signal in a state in which a stop command is given to the motor 2, the circuit 10 sends a servo command signal. At a servo command signal generating time, the circuit 10 sends a rotation direction command signal to a reverse rotation direction to the rotating direction of the motor 2, based on the pulse signal. The circuit 10 generates a brake force command signal, corresponding to an actual rotational speed of the motor 2, after the servo command signal and holds the signal. A driver 8 makes the motor 2 rotate by a brake force, in response to the brake force command signal in the direction for designating the rotation direction command signal. |
