PURPOSE: A sub lance compound probe for a converter and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce the time of refining by attaining three kinds of information including a temperature, an oxygen, and a height via only one measuring chance, and to extend the life of a sub lance by virtue of the reduction of erosion. CONSTITUTION: The sub lance compound probe for a converter consists of a thermocouple(42) that the upper end is exposed over the top surface of a housing(2) and the lower end penetrates the housing to be connected to a conducting wire; a standard pole(52) and a molten steel pole(62) arranged adjacent to the thermocouple and the lower ends thereof are connected to the conducting wire; a pair of electrode rods(20) connected to conducting wires electrically communicating each other by a resistor(4); and a connector(30) separably coupled to the lower side of the housing so as to form a closed circuit.
