PURPOSE: A synchronization device of a frequency shift keying(FSK) modulation type receiver for power line communication(PLC) is provided, which performs a symbol synchronization with a simple configuration. CONSTITUTION: According to the synchronization apparatus of a frequency shift keying modulation type receiver of a power line communication system, a plurality of correlators(10-1,...,10-n) separating a received signal according to its frequency. A reference waveform generator(20) generates a reference waveform in a pulse shape whose polarity is changed at every time when a level of each signal from the correlators crosses each other. A zero crossing detector(40) detects a zero crossing in the reference waveform being output from the reference waveform generator, and outputs a lead signal or a lagged signal by comparing the zero crossing with a zero crossing time of the reference waveform. And a sampling timing controller(50) controls a period of a sampling pulse.
