PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection needle unit for a printed wiring board having a simple structure. SOLUTION: In this inspection needle unit for the printed wiring board, the tip of the inspection needle to be advanced and retreated relative to the surface of the printed wiring board, having a fixed base end is allowed to abut thereon, and the wiring state of the printed wiring board is inspected. The inspection needle has a tilted part extending so as to form a prescribed angle relative to the advancing and retreating direction of the inspection needle unit. The inspection needle unit is equipped with an abutting switch operated by relative movement of the tilted part to the base end caused by bending of the inspection needle occurring when the tip of the inspection needle abuts on the surface and the inspection needle unit is advanced in the surface direction.
