<p>The blade, designed to be fixed to a separate handle or sealed to a plastic handle for a fully disposable instrument, has its cutting tip (B) offset at a double angle to the axis of the handle (C) so that the end of the blade lies at 40 degrees to the handle axis and can be positioned vertically while the handle is held at an angle. The end (D) of the cutting tip can be rounded, pointed or hook-shaped, and lies in line with the axis of the handle or projects some 1 - 5 mm beyond it.</p> |
