PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a judgement of knocking accurately by avoiding such a judgement that no knocking is generated even if a knocking is generated actually. SOLUTION: In the case at least one of the suction valve 2 and exhaust valve 3 is opened or closed in the predetermined knock judging division T2, the opening or closing timing of at least one of the valves 2 and 3 is changed so that at least one of them does not open or close during this nock judging division T2, and signal from a knock sensor 22 is taken in during the nock judging division, and judgement is made whether or not knocking is generated. |
