OPTICAL FIBER ARRAY PART AND CONNECTING METHOD WITH OPTICAL PART USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber array part which is always easily connected to an optical part and a connecting method with an optical part using it. SOLUTION: In the optical fiber array part 10 which is provided with a self-adhesive sheet 11 having adhesion, optical fibers 12 which are fixed onto the self-adhesive sheet 11, and substrates 13 which are attached to input/output end parts of the optical fibers 12 and are connected to the optical waveguide 102 of an optical module 100, notched lines 11a are preliminarily formed in the self-adhesive sheet 11 along the optical fibers 12, and the optical fibers 12 are easily peeled from the self-adhesive sheet 11 without being broken by connecting the substrate 13 to the optical waveguide 102 of the optical module 100 after being peeled from the optical fibers 12 of the self-adhesive sheet 11 along the notched lines 11a of the self-adhesive sheet 11 in the optical fiber array part 10. Thus, a degree of freedom for connection of the optical fibers 12 is improved.
