PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant molded sheet that has excellent designability and a high degree of flame retardancy by preparing from the slurry including specific amounts of cellulosic fiber/endothermically decomposing inorganic compound/synthetic high polymer/inorganic fiber, adding a coagulant to the slurry to make paper sheet flock, layering the paper sheet between a flexible released sheet into two or more layers and subjecting to thermocompression so that the designed relief may be formed on the surface of the paper sheet corresponding to the pattern of the paper-making screen, and provide a method of producing the same. SOLUTION: The sheet-like flame-retardant molded body relating to this invention is a thermocompression formed body of fiber-made sheets. The thermocompression-formed sheet products includes 2-40 mass % of cellulose fibers on the solid basis, 50-95 mass % of endothermically decomposable inorganic compound, 2-40 mass % of synthetic high polymer on the solid basis and 0-20 mass % of inorganic fibers on the solid basis and has the roughened pattern at least on one face of the thermocompression-formed body corresponding to the pattern of the paper-making screen.
