PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an irreversible circuit component the end faces of surface- mount input output terminals of which can be covered with solder in the case of surface-mounting the component on a printed circuit board or the like or the mount strength of which can be strengthened by forming a solder fillet and to provide a communication unit. SOLUTION: The surface mount input output terminal 54 is formed by extruding a hoop member of a lead frame and using a magnetic metal whose major component is iron for the base material that is covered by a metallic film with solderability. The surface mount input output terminal 54 is separated from the lead frame in a prescribed assembling process. A cutting plane 54b of the surface mount input output terminal 54 is formed such that the height H is selected smaller than the thickness T of the surface mount input output terminal 54, the width W2 is selected smaller than the width W1 of the input output terminals 54 and the cutting plane 54b is placed on a bottom face of an isolator.
