PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an idle stop control device to properly maintain the charged condition of a battery with environmental degradation suppressed by changing over the idle stop condition from the urban running to suburban running and vice versa. SOLUTION: The idle stop executing conditions to be executed by an idle stop control part 4 should include that the charged condition of battery is over a specified value, and the specified value at running in an urban district is made lower than at running in suburbs. The position of vehicle is sensed by a vehicle position sensing part 2 while the battery charged condition is sensed by a vehicle condition sensing part 1. When the idle stop conditions for urban districts are met, the power supplies of electric load devices involving no problem even if the power is shut off during the operation, are shut off forcedly by an intra-vehicle electric load control device 6 so that the idle stop is executed. The resultant idle stop control device can thus change over the idle stop conditions between at running in suburbs and at running in urban district where environmental restrictions exist, and can maintain the charged condition of the battery properly while the environmental degradation is suppressed.
