PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water/cold water mixing device in which a discharged water temperature is kept unchanged even when the flow rate of discharged water is changed. SOLUTION: This hot water/cold water mixing device has a mechanism in which a mixing valve element is moved by the expansion or shrinkage of an elastic body which is installed in the moving direction of the mixing valve element and expands or shrinks correspondingly to the temperature variation of a fluid, and the flow rates of hot water and cold water are adjusted, respectively according to an opening area ratio and the water having a prescribed temperature is discharged by mixing them. Further, the device is provided with an axial pressure alleviating means for alleviating the pressure variation in the axial direction of the valve element movement.
