PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a released paper having excellent surface smoothness, paper strength and a mold releasing property, and needing no process for separating plastic resins in a waste paper recycling process and thereby easy in recycling. SOLUTION: On one side or both sides of a paper base material, a water-soluble resin which can be squeezed is laminated by squeezing, or a beforehand formed film of a water-soluble resin is stuck to form a water-soluble resin layer. Subsequently, a separating agent layer is formed on the surface of the water-soluble resin layer to obtain the objective released paper. The water-soluble resins are preferably polyvinyl alcohol resins.
