PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the follow-up performance to the variation of the recording state by obtaining the recorded state detecting index which makes the stability to the temperature fluctuation, etc., and the detection sensitivity of the recording state to be improved. SOLUTION: A pit reflective light level Sp at the recording time and a space reflective light level Ss at the recording time are detected. From these detected values Sp, Ss and a recording power Pw1 outputted from an objective lens of an optical head by laser beams from a semiconductor laser element at the time of recording, an index Rm for detecting the recorded state of the optical disk is obtained by the equation Rm=Sp/Ss/Pw12. Then, the recording power Pw1 is controlled on the basis of this recording state detecting index Rm. |
