PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a voice synthesizer, its language dictionary maintenance method and its maintenance device in which the tendency in the user's independent dictionary registration is quickly and precisely grasped and a standard language dictionary is appropriately updated reflecting the tendency above. SOLUTION: The voice synthesizer is constituted of a standard language dictionary 31 in which standard words and their pronunciation are registered, an independent language dictionary 32 in which arbitrary words and their pronunciation are registered, an independent language dictionary data inputting section 34 which is used to input registration data into the dictionary 32, a dictionary data communication processing section 33 which is used to transmit dictionary data included in the dictionary 32 to an external language dictionary server 10 and is used to obtain updating data from the server 10 to update the dictionary 31 and a dictionary updating processing section 34 which is used to update the dictionary 31 based on the updating data. |
