PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video device, a recording and reproducing device and a recording and reproducing method that can allow a user to be easily able to conduct setting operations of timer video recording. SOLUTION: In the case of outputting an output signal on the basis of a broadcast signal received by a tuner 20 from a video/audio output terminal, when a light receiving circuit 12 receives a video recording operation, a system controller 10 acquires video recording setting information such as a weekday, a video recording start time, a video recording end time and a reception broadcast station and stores the information to an EEPROM 50. Then the video device weekly makes timer video recording on the basis of the stored video recording setting information. Thus, the user can easily conduct the setting operation of weekly timer video recording.
