PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burner which can properly prevent starting of combustion, contrary to the intention of a user. SOLUTION: This burner starts burning action, by input operation being performed to an ignition/extinguishing switch 2, after an input operation is performed to an operation on/off switch 3, and this is equipped with the first detection means which detects the input operation being performed continuously for a certain time of longer to the operation on/off switch 3, the second detection means which detects the input operation being performed to the ignition/ extinguishing switch 2, within a prescribed time from the point of detection by the first detection means, and a combustion start control means which starts the combustion movement by the detection by the second detection means.
