The invention concerns a method for emulsifying an oily silicone phase in an aqueous phase. The invention enables to obtain a stable aqueous silicone emulsion, without grinding or mixing, under high shearing without phase inversion, rapidly and easily, and with a high yield. The inventive method consists in continuously causing the oily silicone phase, the aqueous phase and a protective colloid (polyvinyl alcohol PVA) to pass through a continuous low-shearing mixer (static mixer) by adjusting the required flow rates to avoid phase inversion and to obtain a direct primary oil-in-water emulsion. Then it consists in enriching the resulting emulsion with an enriching oily phase by passing it through the same mixer into a different mixer. Optionally a refining step may be carried out for homogenization between the primary emulsion and the enriched emulsion. The invention also concerns anti-foaming silicone emulsions.
