PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device with which the occurrence of a defective image such as fixing explosion is prevented by suppressing the corrugation of a recording material before fixing due to the temperature rising of the paper non-passing part of a fixing body and a pressure body. SOLUTION: When a distance between the transfer position of a transfer roller 45 and the nip area of a fixing device 46 is set smaller than the length of a recording material P in a feeding direction and the recording material whose width in a vertical direction is smaller than the length of the surface of the recording material p in the vertical direction successively passes through the nip area in the feeding direction of the heating area of the fixing device 46, the number of passing sheets of the recording material per unit-hour to the nip area is reduced and also the feeding speed of the recording material by the fixing device 46 is accelerated than the feeding speed of the recording material by the transfer roller 45. |
