PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate with optical characteristics more excellent than the conventional one and a liquid crystal display device using the same with excellent display characteristics. SOLUTION: In the polarizing plate constructed by sticking a polarizer formed by dying, cross-linking, stretching and drying a synthetic resin film to a protective film, the polarizing plate has <=3 standard deviation of parallel transmittance measured in increments of 10 nm in 420-700 nm light wavelength region and further has >=300 minimum value of a ratio (parallel transmittance/vertical transmittance) measured in increments of 10 nm in 420-700 nm light wavelength region. |
