METHOD FOR PREVENTING PUTREFACTION OF SKELETAL REMAINS

PURPOSE: A method is provided to prevent putrefaction of skeletal remains in a simple and cost-effective manner by preventing moisture generated due to the dew formation from being absorbed into the skeletal remains, through the use of lime and charcoal. CONSTITUTION: An oil paper(3) is attached to a wall(6) of a cinerary urn(7), and charcoals(2) are disposed at the bottom of the cinerary urn. Sequentially, a powdered lime(1) fills the lower part of the cinerary urn in such a manner that the charcoals are not exposed. Then, ashes(5) of the dead packed by a Korean traditional paper(4) is disposed onto the resultant structure, and the powdered lime is sprinkled onto the ashes of the dead such that the Korean traditional paper packing the ashes of the dead is not exposed. A memorial tablet(9) is disposed onto the resultant structure, the powdered lime is sprinkled again, and the cinerary urn is closed by a cap(8).
