PURPOSE: An adjuster assembly for a drum brake is provided to adjust clearance between the drum and a lining stably and accurately, and to improve reliability by preventing adhesion of an adjustable nut. CONSTITUTION: A drum brake is composed of a drum rotating with a wheel, a leading shoe and a trailing shoe attaching a lining for braking from friction with the drum, and an adjuster assembly(60) arranged between leading and trailing shoes to adjust clearance between the drum and the lining. The adjuster assembly consists of a female rod(61) combined with the leading shoe, a male rod(62) combined with the trailing shoe and inserted to the hollow of the female rod, and an adjustable nut(63) having an internal treaded part(63a) combined with a spiral shaft(62a) to move the male rod in rotating. An adhesion preventive sill(62c) is formed in the rear end of the spiral shaft to prevent the engagement of the adjustable nut. Clearance between the drum and the lining is adjusted accurately with rotating the adjustable nut actively regardless of position.
