The spindle [8] may be moved with a stepping action in either direction by moving a lever [10] relative to the centre neutral position.. Mounted on the spindle is a toothed wheel [16] that is engaged by one or other of teeth on links [18,20] coupled to the lever. The links move in engagement by contact with a cam track [24].
