<p>A hermetically sealed package (10) for an optical media disk (26) includes an oxygen impermeable base (12) and an oxygen impermeable cover layer (14) superposed on the base (12). The base (12) includes a central portion (20) thereof spaced from the cover layer (14) to form an enclosing chamber (22) for the disk (26). The cover layer (14) is sealed to the base (12) by means of a circular seal (16) defining a periphery of the enclosing chamber (22).</p> |
