The invention relates to a display module for full graphic image, symbol or text displaying in one or more colors and for full color image and video representation outdoors. Said module is watertight, has effective protection against incident solar radiation and can be dismantled for repairing individual light sources. The module is comprised of a rasterlike perforated matrix plate (1), sealing components (3), at least one board (14) with light sources (10) placed thereon, said light sources having glass bodies (11), especially LEDs (9), and a housing (17). The perforations (2) in the matrix plate (1) are filled with exactly fitting extensions (4) of the sealing components (3) and the glass bodies (11)are pressed into tightly fitting through-holes (5) in the extensions (4). One-piece sun visors (8) for each individual light point can be directly formed on the extensions (4), said visors having the same aspect and the same effects thereby enabling a uniform appearance even under the solar radiation. The heat generated during operation is carried off from the board (14) via heat-conducting insulation foils (16) while solar radiation is dissipated to the outside by means of heat-conducting connections (23) on the back wall of the housing (17) and by means of cooling ribs (20). |
