<p>Polynucleotides comprising one or more of 9 novel single nucleotide polymorphisms in the human Cytochrome P450, Subfamily VIIA (cholesterol 7 alpha-monooxygenase), Polypeptide 1 (CYP7A1) gene are described. Compositions and methods for detecting one or more of these polymorphisms are also disclosed. In addition, various genotypes and haplotypes for the CYP7A1 gene that exist in the population are described.</p> |
