A passenger boarding bridge for large double-deck aircraft with passengers boarding the aircraft via upper and lower towers includes a tunnel element with one or more passenger-conveyance foot-ways for passing by the aircraft wing. A portal tower (4) has an integrated lifting device for raising and lowering and laterally swivelling the long tunnel element. A rotary journal is arranged in the center of the portal tower for mounting a portal frame with the long tunnel element and for turning the swivelling device about a vertical axis.
