PURPOSE:To improve the horizontal resolution by extracting a frequency component higher than the highest frequency of a luminance signal from the luminance signal from an image pickup device, analyzing the information relating to the generating point and component of the extracted component and giving the result to a receiver together with a television signal. CONSTITUTION:A multiplex Q signal is fed to a low pass filter 32, from which a Q signal is extracted, and the multiplex Q signal is fed to a band pass filter 34, from which binary information subject to AM modulation is extracted. The AM-modulated binary information is demodulated by an AM detection section 36, becomes binary information, is fed to a control section 38 and the receiver is provided with oscillators 401-40n generating a sinusoidal wave being harmonics from the 1st order to the n-th order and the wave is fed to line memories 441-44n via phase shifters 411-41n, gain variable amplifiers 421-42n and electronic switches 431-43n. The phase,, gain and switching of the phase shifter, gain variable amplifier and electronic switch are controlled respectively by a signal from a driver 46. The driver 46 applies control according to the binary information decoded by a control section 38. Thus, the horizontal resolution is improved. |
