<p>The present invention provides a method of inhibiting growth of solid tumors in an animal which comprises administrating an effective amount of trichostatin A (TSA) to an animal in need of such treatment. The present invention also provides a method of inhibiting growth of solid tumors in an animal which comprises administering an effective amount of a histone deacetylase inhibitor and a retinoid to an animal in need of such treatment. Examples of solid tumors which may be treated using the methods of the invention include but are not limited to carcinomas of the head and neck, breast, skin, kidney, oral cavity, colon, prostate, pancreas and lung.</p> |
