A foldable portable information terminal device capable of confirming necessary information even in a folded state or in the state of being applied to an ear for use, comprising an upper cabinet body (1) having a receiver part (7) and a lower cabinet body (2) having a transmitter part (19) foldably connected to each other through a hinge part (3), wherein the lower cabinet body (2) is formed longer than the upper cabinet body (1) to provide the lower cabinet body (2) with a projected part projected from the upper cabinet body (1) in the folded state, and a display device (24) is installed in the projected part on the surface side thereof opposed to the upper cabinet body (1), whereby, since the display device (24) is exposed even in the folded state, a user can confirm the displayed information on the display device (24) without unfolding the cabinet bodies, and can also view the display device (24) even when applying the receiver (7) onto the ear in the unfolded state.
