<p>A purging device for a fuel battery system comprises a vapor feed system (18) and an air feed system (19). A purging method for a fuel battery system comprises, in purge-operating a fuel modifying unit (12), a fuel battery main body (11) and a fuel feed system (13), the steps of effecting a purging operation using vapor and then effecting a purging operation using air. According to the above arrangement, it is possible to provide a purging device for a fuel battery system, which is simple in construction and easy to operate, and capable of reliably removing the combustible gas and condensate remaining in the systems, and to provide a purging method.</p> |
