<p>A method and a printer for printing on a substrate (100) with a plurality of print head assemblies (110, 120, 130), wherein each assembly (110) includes at least one print head (210). The printer includes a roller assembly (60) to move the substrate (100) toward the print head assemblies (110, 120, 130) along a feed path, which is substantially perpendicular to the width of the substrate (100). A movable fence (20) is used to adjust the width of the feed path according to the width of the substrate (100). A linking system (90) is used to move the print head assemblies (110, 120, 130) relative to each in order to place the printer (10) over the print areas (72) that change with the feed path.</p> |
