The invention relates to a cooking appliance comprising a cooking chamber (1) which can be closed by a door (2) having a multi-pane structure, including at least one inner pane (3) and one front pane (4). The aim of the invention is to design the cooking appliance in such a way that the surface temperature on the outer side of the front pane is as low as possible. To this end, the inner pane (3) is embodied in a tray-like manner and is fixed to the front pane (4) by means of holding elements (11) which are arranged on the inner side (4a) of the front pane (4) inside the circumferential edge of the inner pane (3).
