<p>A roll core handle (10, 10") is adapted for fitting into an open end of a roll core (50) for supporting the roll core while the roll core is capable of rotating with respect to the handle. The handle includes a hollow holder body (20, 20") having a plurality of side-by-side arcuate wall side segments (22, 22") and a plurality of stiffening ribs (42, 42") formed longitudinally around the holder body, wherein the stiffening ribs (42, 42") are positioned spaced apart to separate the plurality of arcuate segments into groups of resilient core supports (220") adapted for compressive constraint within the roll core for enabling the roll core to be smoothly rotated with respect to the holder body. The handle further includes an integral flange (32, 32") radially and outwardly extend from a proximal end of the holder body.</p> |
