The invention relates to a (soft) packaging for cigarettes whereby the blank (10) is made of paper or similar material and is provided with an encircling multi-layered foldable band (21) adjacent to a front face (16). The inner covering layers can be joined by an adhesive-adhesive point (20) to the outer covering layers. A round recess (29) is created by punching in the region wherein the adhesive point (20) is positioned. The invention is characterised by the above-mentioned blanks (10) being produced for said type of packaging.
