<p>A homogeneous powder mainly consisting of an elastic material, such as vulcanised rubber, is produced by first forming a composite body of larger particles of the elastic material, bound together by a thermoplastic material. The composite body is then subjected to mechanical treatment, e.g. grinding, producing a homogeneous powder having a particle size of less than 1.5 mm and consisting of up to about 80% by weigh of vulcanised rubber.</p> |
