Furnace floor cooling - by tubes mounted in plates between carbon and graph and ceramic blocks

The joints between the metal plates carrying the coolant tubes are packed with Al, and the surface of the graphite blocks is milled to prevent any gaps developing between it and the upper layer of C blocks. Under furnace temps. the heat is spread over the surface of the floor and no C is released preventing any leakages developing and increasing the life of the furnace floor.
