Fixing device for hinges of motor vehicle doors or flaps comprises a hinge part (3) fixed to the vehicle body (2) by a screw (4) and a clamping sleeve (5) having a through opening (28) for the screw and at least two lever arms (18, 19) arranged a distance apart, each with an outer bearing surface (16, 17). The clamping sleeve has at least two inner bearing surfaces (21, 22) arranged a distance apart at the height of the through opening. The inner bearing surfaces are arranged a distance (a) from the outer bearing surfaces. Before final assembly the inner bearing surfaces are placed a distance (c) from a wall (14, 15) of the vehicle body and only after a predetermined pre-stressing force are placed on the wall to transfer the maximum pre-stressing force. Preferred Features: The clamping sleeve is made of extrudable steel or a similar material.
