Polymers and oligomers of diaminoanthracene and their method of production

A method of producing a homopolymer, copolymer, homo-oligomer or co-oligomer by a condensation reaction of a diaminoanthracene (DAA), optionally with a diiminoanthracene (DIA) in the absence of substituted or unsubstituted anthraquinone (AQ). The diaminoanthracene and diiminoanthracene may also be substituted. Also claimed is a product (I) formed in the melt state under vacuum by said method and a product formed in solution by said method, wherein n may be an integer from 2 to 100 and R1, R2, R1' and R2' are as defined in the specification. Further claimed are a transparent electroconductive coating, a static shielding material, and a display device containing a layer comprising a product of said method.
