PURPOSE: A portable computer with an external antenna is provided to secure the space for mounting the antenna on the portable computer for the data transfer. CONSTITUTION: The portable computer comprises a body, display unit(120), wireless communication module, antenna(130), contact terminals(128,138), and hooks(132a,132b) and grooves(126a,126b). The first contact terminal(128) is electrically connected with the wireless communication module through a coaxial cable(129), such as Bluetooth module or Infrared Data Association module. The second contact terminal(138) mounted on the antenna gets in contact with the first contact terminal. The grooves are formed on the one side of the display unit and the hooks fixed into the grooves are formed on the antenna.
