PURPOSE: To provide a method and a die for extruding a pipe, which can readily form the pipe, with a low cost, having intermediate walls extending perpendicular to the direction the pipe width changes. CONSTITUTION: The pipe-extruding die 37 includes a fixed die and a moving die 39 that is movable. The pipe is formed by a material extruded from an aperture 50 defined by an overlap of apertures of the fixed die and the moving die in the extruding direction. The aperture 50 includes an aperture 51 for forming a pipe wall of the pipe and two apertures 52 for forming two connecting walls in the internal space of the pipe. The pipe consisting of a section having the connecting wall and a section having no connecting wall, which has a different stiffness in the longitudinal direction, is formed in such a manner that cores 44b, 47b open or close the apertures 52 in accordance with the displacement of the moving die 39.
