PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely and strongly fix a large work with a small tong hold when fixing the work with a vise. SOLUTION: A cap 2 is fitted to the vise, and the work W is set, and the pinching force of the vise is applied to the work W. A tip 3a of a spike pin 3 formed of a material harder than the work W contacts with the work W at a point, and the pinching force of the vise is concentrated to the tip 3a. This concentrated load is applied from the tip 3a of the spike pin 3 to the work W, and the tip 3a of the spike pin 3 bites the work W to fix the work W at the position. A pinching surface 2a of the cap 2 is tightly fitted to the tong hold B of the work W, and the work W can be fixed to the position by a contact surface between the pinching surface 2a and the tong hold B of the work W.
