PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably hold a start end part of a recording paper mounted in a recording paper holder when mounting the recording paper holder in a housing of a device. SOLUTION: After the recording paper 31 pulled out from a condition in which it is wound like a roll is brought into pressure-contact with an image formed on a recording intermediate belt 15 moving peripherally and the image is transferred on the recording paper 31, the recording intermediate belt 15 and the recording paper 31 are peeled off to cut the recording paper 31 on which the image is transferred into a predetermined size in a recording paper cutting part. The recording paper 31 wound like the roll is mounted on the recording paper holder 30 detachable for the housing of the device so as to pull it out and wind it back, and a recording paper start end part holding mechanism 50 holding the start end part of the mounted recording paper is provided in the recording paper holder 30.
