METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR TREATMENT OF WASTEWATER CONTAINING PHENOL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decompose phenol efficiently. SOLUTION: Wastewater containing phenol is fed into an aerating tank 14 through a raw water tank 10 and a pump 12 to be treated with an aerobic organism. The absorbance of treated water is measured by an absorptiometer 22 and the flow rate of the pump 12 is controlled based on the result of the measurement, which securely prevents the residue of by-products in decomposing the phenol.
