METHOD FOR ADJUSTING BOOTH WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adjusting booth water for forming a water curtain capable of efficiently trapping an over-sprayed paint not applied to an article to be coated when it is coated with an aqueous paint by spray coating. SOLUTION: Booth water is allowed to flow down in a film state along the wall surface of a curtain arranged at a position exceeding the article to be coated in a spray coating direction, in order to trap the over-sprayed paint not applied to the article to be coated when the article to be coated is coated with the paint by spray coating. A non-volatile hydrophilic solvent and/or a hydrophilic surfactant is allowed to be present in the composition of booth water to adjust the surface tension of booth water to 55×10-5 N/cm or less.
