PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly operative operation section for a compact combine harvester of walking and sulky type combined. SOLUTION: This operation unit comprises a front operation sub-section 13 located in the front of the machine body 2 of a combine harvester and a rear operation sub-section 54 located in the rear of the machine body 2; wherein the steering operation section 9 of the subunit 13 comprises a single multicontrol lever making a steering operation by its transverse swing motion, while the steering operation sections 47L and 47R of the subunit 54 comprises left and right control levers each making a changeover of the actuation of respective left and right traveling units.
